First Annual Wild Foods Weekend

Anne-Marie Bilella and Michelle Withrow are hosting this first annual event. There will be educational walks/classes, foraging related vendors with books, herbs, tinctures, mushrooms, jams, jellies, and more! The cost is $245 per person, including bunk-style cabin accommodations, 4 meals and all classes, walks and activities. Friday night we will have a Wild Foods and Wild Spirits contest so bring those yummy foods to be judged. Saturday night dinner will be a Wild Foods Feast!


Complete registration form and email to gawildfoods@gmail.com or mail with check to Georgia Wild Foods, 573 Herman Winkler Road Cleveland Ga 30528. Or Venmo your payment to @gawildfoods

Weekend Schedule

Friday September 19th

Check in starts at 3:00 pm

We will probably have a small activity plus folks can start shopping with vendors.

4:45 class Philip Winter “Making Wild Mead and Sodas”

Dinner 6pm

Wild Foods contest and Wild Spirits contest 7:15

Herbal Tea Blending TBD

Greeting attendees, housekeeping and food group signs up encouraged, vendor times, an overview of what to expect Saturday.


Saturday September 20th

Breakfast: 8 am

9am class Suzanne Shires– “Wild Seasoning”

10:00 foray class Olga Katic - "Fungi and Forest Ecology: The Hidden Network Beneath Our Feet"

11:00 class Ila Hatter – “Wildflower Folklore”

lunch:12 plus vendor time

1:15 class Dave Nessia – “History Channel Alone Talk”

2:15 class Amber Leckenby– “Wild Jellies, Jams, Syrups & Cough Drops”

3:15-6:00 table groups prepare food

6:30 dinner feast

7:30 cleanup, announcements/housekeeping

7:45-9 vendor time

Fire + Music

10:00 quiet hours


Sunday September 21st

Pack up cabins

Breakfast: 8:00
