 Joe is an avid forager and outdoor enthusiast with a lifelong passion for learning from nature. Growing up in Boy Scouts fostered an early appreciation for wilderness skills, self-reliance, and stewardship that continues to shape his approach today. He holds a Wild Mushroom Safety Certification from Mushroom Mountain  and enjoys combining ancestral food preservation methods with modern technology, to maximize nutrition, reduce waste, and create shelf-stable foods. Through hands-on instruction, Joe hopes to inspire others to confidently preserve wild and homegrown foods while making the most of nature's abundance.
